Dr. Veolanda Peoples is an experienced researcher and dedicated educator who serves as the Accreditation & QEP Coordinator at Alabama State University. A proud three-time alumna of Alabama State University, Dr. Peoples holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology, a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. With over 10 years of research experience, she has developed excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills, which she applies to support the university’s academic standards and continuous improvement efforts.

Dr. Peoples's strong passions for research, teaching, analyzing data, strategic planning, and analytical thinking have driven her to excel in her field. Her commitment to student success is evident from her previous role as the C-STEM, Student Success, and QEP Coordinator, where she focused on helping students excel throughout their college journey.

As Accreditation Coordinator, Dr. Peoples brings her extensive experience and knowledge of SACSCOC policies and procedures to ensure academic excellence and institutional compliance. She is deeply committed to fostering a supportive educational environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.
