Disclosure of Professional Licensure Requirements for Online Programs:

Potential students are strongly encouraged to independently verify professional counseling licensure requirements for their home state and other states of interest. Currently, the online graduate program in rehabilitation counseling meets licensure requirements in Alabama. However, students desiring to practice in states outside of Alabama can use the link below to contact persons who can verify if the program meets state educational requirements for licensure. We will gladly speak with licensing board representatives in other states about our curriculum. Also, many states are accepting a passing score on our required exit exam (the national certified rehabilitation counselor exam) in lieu of other required examinations. We strongly encourage you to verify that a passing score on the national certified rehabilitation counselor exam is also accepted as a requirement for state licensure and professional practice.
